Madam Word: Reading Spelling is an Android game developed by Appligogiques Inc. It is a fun and interactive educational game designed specifically for children between the ages of 5 and 10. Developed by Brigitte Stanké, a speech therapist, Madam Word incorporates the latest research on learning to read. Madam Word offers seven engaging games that target different objectives. "Rhyme Time!" challenges children to judge if words rhyme or not, and "Mr. Mixup" improves syllabic segmentation and phonological working memory.
"Word Dive" aims to develop phonemic segmentation and matching abilities, and "Madam Word's Library" addresses the confusion between the letters "b" and "d." Lastly, "Word Pond" helps children visually process similar graphemes and auditory phonemes.
The free version of Madam Word allows users to try all the games offered in the application. However, to unlock all games, a subscription is required.
